• Bidirectional Learning - Practice both English-to-Spanish and Spanish-to-English translations
• Progress Tracking - Monitor your repetitions, ease factor, and success rate for each term
• Smart Reviews - The system automatically schedules reviews when you're most likely to forget, maximizing retention

The flashcard system covers all terminology categories including medications, diagnoses, clinical, financial terminology, government agencies, immigration terms, and Medicare glossary terms. Each card displays contextual information and tracks your learning progress with detailed analytics.

🔊 Phonetic Spelling Guide: Master Pronunciation in Both Languages

Understanding how to pronounce medical terms correctly is crucial for effective communication. I've added a phonetic spelling feature that provides International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) notation for both English and Spanish terms.

How to Read Phonetic Spelling

English Phonetic Guide:

• Stress Markers: ˈ (primary stress), ˌ (secondary stress)
• Common Vowels: /ɪ/ as in "bit", /i/ as in "beat", /ɛ/ as in "bed", /æ/ as in "cat"
• Special Sounds: /θ/ as in "think", /ð/ as in "this", /ʃ/ as in "ship", /ʒ/ as in "measure"
• Example: "Diagnosis" = /daɪəɡˈnoʊsɪs/

Spanish Phonetic Guide:

• Vowels: /a/ as in "casa", /e/ as in "mesa", /i/ as in "sí", /o/ as in "solo", /u/ as in "luna"
• Consonants: /ɲ/ as in "niño", /x/ as in "jefe", /r/ (single tap), /rr/ (trill)
• Stress: Usually on the second-to-last syllable unless marked with an accent
• Example: "Diagnóstico" = /djaɣˈnostiko/

The system automatically converts ARPABET notation to IPA, ensuring accurate pronunciation guides for thousands of medical terms. This feature is particularly valuable for interpreters who need to pronounce complex medical terminology correctly in both languages.

I believe in continuous improvement through user feedback. I've implemented a new Term Helpfulness feature that allows users to rate the usefulness of terminology entries and provide suggestions for improvement.
